DevPrayag Yoga is a therapeutic yoga class designed to recharge and relax the entire body, leading to an enhanced state of mental clarity and calmness. Based on Paramhansa Yogananda’s Yogoda principles, this class is scientifically designed to activate energy throughout the body and bring that energy inward and upward in the spine. This leads to a deeper, more expansive meditation and an overall sense of well-being. Loosely translated, Yogoda means “that which brings union,” and the union we speak of is between you and your highest self. This class is appropriate for all levels and abilities and includes detailed instruction throughout the session.

Bob spent years operating a successful business and skydiving, but the focus of his life changed when he was struck by a tragedy a decade ago. For the past ten years, Bob has dedicated his life to understanding the inner experience through yoga and meditation and he shares what he has learned with those who seek physical, emotional and spiritual healing. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-500) a Meditation Instructor and a Certified Yoga Therapist. Yoga Therapy seeks to heal using yoga, meditation and pranayama (energy movement) techniques to affect the body on a cellular level, stimulating the body’s natural healing ability. These methods effectively treat many conditions including: anxiety, depression, heart disease/hypertension, cancer, osteoporosis, autoimmune conditions, insomnia and chronic pain. Bob teaches yoga therapy group classes and also works with clients to design an individually tailored treatment plans to promote optimal health and vitality.
