Come and be part of a movement of energy in the body. Family friendly. Leave shoes and conversations at the door. Be part of a non-verbal communication, as we listen and move to uplifting Kirtan music with a beat, to move calmly active and actively calm. Dance to your higher self, Feeling the energy of Shiva and Naturaja. Bring all of your inhibitions about moving, and break out of your comfort zone. Shake things up. Burn up all the pent up energy in the body. Offer up all of your fears, regrets, sorrow, depression. Offer up all of your joy, your happiness and peace. Share with friends and gurubhais. We will have an alter to honor Lord Shiva, as Nataraja, the Cosmic Ecstatic Dancer. Bring your own water bottle to keep hydrated. Ecstatic Kirtan Dance is a little different from Ecstatic Dance, in that Annapurna plays music that inspires the opening of higher energy centers in the body, called Chakras.
The dance will begin with an opening circle at 7:30pm to include a short introduction for intentions to the evening and end with a short savasana and meditation, after 9, ending by 9:30pm.  Doors open at 7:00pm.

Annapurna is an E-RYT 200 Yoga Teacher with YA and Meditation Teacher. She has been a professional performer of Egyptian Belly Dance and danced and performed ballet since she was a child. After having been to ecstatic dances around the city and state, what was most inspiring to her are the ones that work with higher energy centers (chakras) and working with the body, mind and spirit.
