As we come to the end of another year and welcome in a new, we invite you to join us on a healing journey incorporating gentle yoga and sound immersion. Come rejoice in the growing of the light as we reflect and rest in what the last year has provided. Still in the depths of winter we welcome in deep rest and internal preservation with restorative practice and soothing explorative music.
The immersive journey will be conjured using a variety of acoustic and electric instruments including crystal singing bowls, native drum and flute, electric guitar, live looping, and more. The sound space will be at the service of the listeners’ intention – please do consider how you wish to use this time and space. Sound may be perceived as both relaxing and transformative as we travel along.
The physical practice will weave breath work (pranayama) into a gentle flow of asana to open the body. Then moving into longer held yin style poses to get into the fascia and connective tissues and encourage free flow of prana along the meridians that support our health and vitality of the organs, in particular this practice will focus on the kidneys. Lastly, the experience will incorporate long fully propped juicy restorative shapes enhancing the qualities of water to prepare for a full on expansive sound journey in sivasana.

Brian: I have felt passion for sound and music my whole life and in the last few years I have discovered the truly transformative healing properties of exploring deep sound space. Through challenging times, I’ve observed sound perpetually transform suffering and traumatic memory as we arrive here and now in presence and at peace. It is my sincere hope that together we can unite in creating a healing space that will allow all in attendance to release that which is no longer serves as we meet our inner self and find our true nature.
Annie is a lover of breath + movement, AND a huge advocate for rest + restore. Her practice is inspired by the seasons, community, the natural surrounding world and her ever curious desire to keep exploring the waves of expansion and contraction into the known and unknown. She has studied in depth with The Wild Temple School of Tantra + Herbs from which her practice draws from the many techniques of ancient and modern wisdom. Even more recently she has been diving in to the teachings of Yin + Buddhist mindfulness with Kali Durga. Honored to be your Asana guide while Brian weaves a tapestry of sound to support the highest modality of healing to bring the mind and body systems to a state of harmonization.
